General Leonard E. Wood Post 162, while located in Hillsdale, is the Home Post for residents of Hillsdale, Woodcliff Lake and Old Tappan, NJ. However our active membership includes veterans from the greater Pascack Valley, Northern New Jersey and even out of state.

Our primary mission is to support and advocate for veterans, active military, and their families, and to foster patriotism and responsible citizenship to all.
 

Since our charter in 1919, our American Legion Post has been welcoming VETERANS from all branches of our Armed Forces. Today, we continue to welcome all military personnel serving our country. Joining our Post enables you to continue serving your God, Country and Community.
